today marks 3 years since my mom passed away. earlier this week while talking to her picture i was hoping that i would see her come out of the bedroom being her normal self – happy, healthy and offering to make me something to eat. instead i got nothing but silence and my overactive imagination. i suppose that is a good thing, those who died peacefully aren’t supposed to linger.

i wish she would just tell me or give me a sign that things are going to be okay. selfish, i know.
